Who runs this site

d@n is published by Dan Votra, Mostly Marketing, Inc., 1178 Broadway, 3rd Floor, Suite 318R, New York, NY 10001, USA. For anything in this notice, write to dan@mostlymktg.com.

What is collected, and why

Enquiries. The contact form collects your name, email address, an optional phone number, the enquiry type and your message. It is used only to answer you. It is stored in the site database and emailed to Dan.

Newsletter and alerts. If you subscribe, your email address, your chosen player handle and which alerts you asked for are stored. Used only to send what you asked for. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

The game. Playing sets a cookie named dan_pid so your score survives a refresh. It holds a random signed identifier and nothing about you. Your score, level, collected objects and public handle are stored so the leaderboard works. Your handle is public by design.

Signing in. If you sign in to save progress, your email address is stored by the authentication service so you can sign back in.

Anonymous counts. Page views, share clicks and completed enquiries are counted with no address, no cookie and no visitor identifier attached, so they cannot be traced back to a person. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted at all.

Network address. To stop somebody verifying their own shares for points, and to rate limit abuse, your network address is converted into a short one-way code. The address itself is never stored.

What is never done

Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising. There are no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, no session recording and no cross-site profiling on this site.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the site: the hosting and database provider that stores the data, and the email service that delivers replies and alerts. Fonts are loaded from Google's font service, which means Google receives your network address as part of that request. Nothing else is passed on, except where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is useful and then deleted on request. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Game progress is kept while the game runs. Anonymous counts contain nothing personal and are kept indefinitely.

Your choices

Ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to dan@mostlymktg.com. Requests are handled within 30 days, at no cost. Unsubscribing takes one click from any email. Clearing your browser cookies removes the game identifier.

Children

This site is for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
